L’Atelier is a delightful stone built house located in the picturesque hill village of Menerbes. Menerbes is one of the most famous of the Luberon perched villages with pretty stone built houses and lovely views across unspoiled countryside. The village has several shops, cafes and restaurants and the house is just 5 minutes walk away from the village centre. There is a small weekly market in the village and a wide choice of excellent local vineyards producing good Cotes du Luberon and Cotes du Ventoux wines. The house is well located for just being at home and enjoying village life but also for exploring the Luberon valley and further afield, the attractions of Avignon, Aix, St. Remy, Nimes, Orange and Arles are all within easy driving distance.
This attractive old two storey house is in a quiet corner of the village at the end of a cul de sac with fine views of the Luberon mountains. The house nestles against the cliffs just below the village centre and is south facing. The house has been lovingly restored and is stylishly decorated throughout in pretty provencal style with warm terracotta floors throughout. The entrance to the house is into the large well equipped kitchen dining room with its open provencal fireplace. A narrow staircase provides access to the second floor leading to the shady terrace which has superb views up to the village and is great for outdoor dining for which table and chairs are provided.
