The rent includes all services except the cost of heating during the months of October to April inclusive.*

Cleaning at the end of your stay is included in the rental cost. Additional cleaning can be arranged if required for an additional charge.

La Source is a delightful 150 year old stone house located on the edge of the picturesque village of Roussillon, 'un des plus beaux villages de France'. Roussillon is situated in the centre of the Luberon valley and is famous for its red ochre cliffs, artist and pottery shops. The village which has several shops, cafes and restaurants and the house is just 5 minutes walk away. There is a good market in the village every Thursday morning and a wide choice of excellent local vineyards producing good Cotes du Luberon and Cotes du Ventoux wines.

The house is well located for exploring the Luberon valley and further afield, the attractions of Avignon, Aix, St. Remy, Nimes, Orange and Arles are all within easy driving distance

The House

This charming two storey house nestles against the ochre cliffs just below the village centre. The house is has been lovingly restored, is full of character and is tastefully decorated throughout in pretty provencal style and lime stone floors throughout. The large living room opens out onto the pool and garden and is comfortably furnished for relaxed living. The well equipped kitchen leads off the living room and there is a separate small dining area with a vaulted ceiling. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer and there is a separate washing machine. The shady terrace has superb views up to the village and is great for outdoor dining for which table and chairs are provided.

There are two charming bedrooms upstairs, one double overlooking the garden and a smaller bedroom with bunk beds suitable for children. There is a shower room and toilet downstairs and a separate bathroom and toilet upstairs. The house has a lovely traditional stone provencal fireplace for log fires during the cooler months and there is also electric under floor heating. There is a television with satellite reception for English channels, DVD and CD player for entertainment. The house has a wireless internet connection.

The house has a private sheltered pretty south facing garden with trees and flower beds. There is paving around 4x3 metre free form pool and pool loungers are provided. The pool and garden give lovely views of the village, particularly picturesque in the evening when the ochre cliffs are illuminated. Bed linen and towels are provided and also a cleaner for the end of your stay. Please bring your own pool towels.

Booking Conditions

We are very conscious of safety and the potential hazard of swimming pools for young children, for this reason we do not accept bookings from families with children under five.

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. A returnable damages deposit of £300 is also payable at time of final payment. This is refunded after your departure once the house has been checked. All telephone charges, breakage's, etc. will be made against the deposit and the balance returned to you. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. In order to have time to check the house, change beds, clean the pool and tidy the garden etc. we ask guests to arrive between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and to leave at 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
