Les Cheyrans is a charming stone built house located 4km from the village of Viens and 12km from the town of Apt in the heart of the beautiful Luberon countryside. Viens is a small medieval village with a mini supermarket, boulangerie, post office and café/bar/restaurant. There is a wide choice of shopping in the nearby town of Apt which has an excellent provencal market on Saturday mornings.

The house is in a beautiful tranquil countryside location well located for exploring the Luberon valley and the great walking country right on the doorstep, or simply relaxing by the pool with its stunning views.

The House

This charming two storey house has been recently restored and is decorated in a tasteful provencal style with lots of exposed stone work pretty furnishings. The house is very light and airy with the windows from every window giving lovely vistas of wide countryside views. The large living/dining room has an fireplace with wood burning stove and opens out onto the south facing terrace with a shady pergola, ideal for outdoor dining for which a table and chairs are provided. The kitchen, which overlooks the pool, leads off the living room and is well equipped with dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge freezer. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine.

The bathroom with large shower is on the ground floor and there is a separate toilet. The second floor is accessed by a spiral staircase leading to a small hall and three pretty bedrooms – one double, and two twin rooms. The upstairs is heated by electric radiators for the cooler months. Wood is provided for the wood burning stove downstairs.

Outside, the house has sweeping views at every turn. The 12x5 metre heated swimming pool is fenced for security and has a small spa built into the pool surround. The paving around the pool gives plenty of sunbathing space for which pool loungers are provided.

Bed linen and towels, including pool towels, are provided and also a cleaner for the end of your stay. There is a television for entertainment (one or two English channels).



Booking Conditions

We are very conscious of safety and the potential hazard of swimming pools for young children, for this reason we do not accept bookings from families with children under five.

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. A returnable damages deposit of £300 is also payable at time of final payment. This is refunded after your departure once the house has been checked. All telephone charges, breakage's, etc. will be made against the deposit and the balance returned to you. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. In order to have time to check the house, change beds, clean the pool and tidy the garden etc. we ask guests to arrive between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and to leave at 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
