Les Terrasses is a pretty house situated near the town of Apt in the heart of the Parc Naturel du Luberon, ideally located for exploring this lovely part of Provence. There is wide choice of shopping and restaurants in the nearby town of Apt which has one of the best of the area’s provencal markets on Saturday mornings.

The house is in a lovely position on a hillside in the countryside near the town with wide open views from the house and garden. There is lots of outdoor living space in the terraced gardens on three levels around the house, with a lovely pool terrace ideally for relaxing in the provencal sunshine.

The House

This two storey house has recently been completely renovated is charmingly decorated in modern provencal style. It has provencal tiled floors throughout and is decorated with warm colours and comfortable furnishings.

The entrance hall leads through to a large double aspect living dining room with patio doors opening out onto the large dining terrace. Also on the ground floor is a separate pretty little salon with an open fireplace and a well equipped kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave. There is a washing machine in the downstairs shower room.

The house has three good size bedrooms, all on the first floor and all decorated with pretty fabrics and interesting light fittings. There is a large light and airy double aspect twin bedroom with views across the garden, a cosy double bedroom with its own shower room and wc, and a pretty double bedroom, also with double aspect views across to the hills beyond. There is a shower room with Italian shower and wc on the ground floor.  

There is a television and DVD player for entertainment and a hifi unit. The house also has WiFi internet.

The large enclosed garden is a terraced garden on three levels. Two large lawned terraces and a large pool terrace – all with lovely views, and offering lots of out door living space.  There is a wide paved terrace for outdoor dining and a separate little terrace with table and chairs by the built-in BBQ area. The 10 x 4 metre swimming pool is fenced for security and has plenty of sunbathing space for which pool loungers are provided. On the very upper level of the garden there is lots of space for relaxing in the shade of the pine trees in the heat of the afternoon and here in the shade, there is also a small play area for children.

Bed linen and towels are provided but please bring your own pool towels.

This comfortable house with wide open views of the Luberon countryside and close proximity to Apt with its shops and restaurants, provides a very relaxing base to stay and from which to explore this lovely area of Provence.

Booking Conditions

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking.  A returnable damages deposit of £500 is also payable at time of final payment. This is refunded after your departure once the house has been checked. All telephone charges, breakage's, etc. will be made against the deposit and the balance returned to you. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday.  In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive after 17.00 p.m. and to leave by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
