Rental Cost

The rent includes all services except the cost of telephone calls. Heating costs are included. Cleaning at the end of your stay is also included in the rental cost. Additional cleaning can be arranged for an extra charge if required.

La Maison de Anne-Marie is a charming stone built house located in the village of Fontaine de Vaucluse with its lovely riverside setting. In the village there are several cafes and restaurants, boulangeries, post office and supermarket.

There also is a wide choice of shopping and restaurants in the nearby town of Isle sur la Sorgue which is famous for its Sunday morning provencal and antiques market and its large permanent antique galleries. The delightful perched village of Gordes is a short drive away.The house is just a few minutes walk of the village centre in a quiet position near the river and is well located for exploring the Luberon valley or simply relaxing by the pool in the pretty walled garden.

The House

This two storey house was originally an old farmhouse dating from 1870 and is full of charm and character. It is decorated in a tasteful provencal style with warm and welcoming colours throughout and beautiful restored provencal tiled floors enhanced by pretty furnishings. The house is very light and airy with the windows from every room looking out across the pretty garden or to the mountains beyond.

The entrance hall with its lovely provencal tiled floor leads to the dining room and kitchen on one side and a small sitting room on the other which opens out on to the garden with its large terrace shaded with a pergola for outdoor dining. A staircase from the downstairs sitting room leads up the large and airy first floor living room with lots of space for relaxing and with views across the garden to the mountains surrounding the village.

The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, electric oven and gas hob. There is a separate small laundry room with washing machine.

There are three bedrooms upstairs, one double with ensuite shower room, one twin and a single bedroom, all simply but prettily furnished. There is a large bathroom with shower and bath downstairs which can be accessed by a second staircase leading down from the bedrooms. For larger parties there are also two single beds available in the upstairs living room. There are electric radiators for heating during the cooler months.

Outside, the house has a pretty walled garden planted with olives, cypress trees and flowering shrubs. The 4 x 6 metre swimming pool is fenced for security and is accessed by a small flight of stone steps from the garden. The paving around the pool gives plenty of sunbathing space for which pool loungers are provided.

Bed linen and towels, including pool towels, are provided and also a cleaner for the end of your stay. There is a television for entertainment and the house has broadband wifi internet connection.

La Maison de Anne-Marie is a most delightful provencal property in which you can be truly 'at home' in Provence.

Booking Conditions

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. A returnable damages deposit of £500 is also payable at time of final payment. This is refunded after your departure once the house has been checked. All telephone charges, breakage's, etc. will be made against the deposit and the balance returned to you. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive between after 16.00 p.m. and to leave before 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
