Maison Tilleul is a comfortable stone built house located in the heart of the Luberon valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty in southern Provence. The house is in a tranquil hamlet between vineyards, orchards and lavender fields near the stunning village of Roussillon. Roussillon has a good boulangerie, small supermarket, butcher, pharmacy and a choice of cafes and restaurants. There is a weekly market in the village and a wide choice of excellent local vineyards producing good Cotes du Luberon and Cotes du Ventoux wines. Ideally placed for exploring the Luberon valley and its delightful perched villages, this house is also very well located for excursions further afield to Avignon, Orange, St. Remy and Arles.
This restored two storey provencal stone house is in a quiet location in the countryside with a lovely view of Roussillon village and the Luberon mountains. The house has been restored with care and is prettily decorated throughout with teraccotta floors and authentic old wooden beams. The house is light and airy with a wide welcoming hallway leading into the kitchen and sitting room.
The well equipped kitchen has all the modern amenities and is equipped gas cooker, double sink, oven, micro-wave, espresso machine (Nescafe) and dishwasher. There is a large dining table for 12 people. In the separate utility room there are two fridge freezers, a washing machine, dryer and handicraft corner for children.
The cosy sitting room overlooks the garden and is very comfortably furnished with sofas for relaxing living and a wood burning fireplace. There is a separate toilet downstairs.
There are four bedrooms in total. Three of which have double beds - two with a queen size double beds and one which can be a double (queen size bed) or two single beds. The master bedroom, located on the ground floor, has an ensuite shower room. There is a further bedroom equipped for children with lots of toys and a play area and sleeping 4 children with two single beds and bunk beds. There is a separate bathroom with bath, shower and double sink and a separate toilet.
There is a silent centralised air conditioning system throughout the house including the bedrooms. There is a TV for entertainment (French channels only) and a DVD player. There is a broadband wifi internet connection for guests use.
The house has a large private sheltered south facing garden with lawns and flower beds and private swimming pool (10x5m) with a decked wooden terrace. The pool is fenced for security and is operational from May to October inclusive. There is plenty of relaxing dining space in front of the house on a shaded terrace and under the linden tree. The garden, terraces and pool have sun all day and have lovely views across vineyards to Roussillon village and the Luberon mountains beyond. There is a BBQ for guests use and there are plenty of sunbeds provided for those lazy days relaxing at home.
Bed linen and towels are provided and also a cleaner for the end of your stay. There is private parking within the grounds of the house. Please note we cannot accept pets at Maison Tilleul.
Maison Tilleul is a charming and welcoming provencal home in a tranquil countryside location with good indoor and outdoor living space for a relaxing holiday for two to four people or for a family with children, or even two couples with small children. The lovely perched village of Roussillon is a short drive away and the house is also very well located for exploring the beautiful Luberon area and further afield.
We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. A damages deposit of £500 is payable at time of final payment. This is refunded after your departure once the house has been checked. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive after 16.00 p.m. and to leave by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.
In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
