L'Ousteau de Bounur is a beautifully restored provencal house with a large garden and private pool located in a quiet hamlet in the countryside near the village of St. Saturnin les Apt at the eastern end of the Luberon Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty in southern Provence.

The house is in a tranquil location just a short drive or 30 minute walk from the village which is 2km away and which has an excellent boulangerie, small supermarket, butcher and good local bars and restaurants. Well placed for exploring the Luberon valley and its delightful perched villages, this house is also very well located for excursions further afield to Avignon, Orange, St. Remy and Arles.

The House

L'Ousteau de Bounur is a stone built house with warm and welcoming terraccotta floors and has been lovingly restored by its architect owner to retain all its character but with a modern twist which enhances the architecture of the property. The house has lots of living space with sunny rooms overlooking the garden or courtyard.

The house has four bedrooms comfortably sleeping 8 people. The comfortable living room with cosy sofas is light and airy with double aspect windows overlooking the courtyard and garden and has an open fireplace. The dining room leads off the kitchen and overlooks the garden. A television and DVD player is provided for entertainment. The television has satellite reception with some English channels. The house also has a wifi internet connection.

The kitchen, also overlooking the garden is well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge freezer, electric oven and hob and microwave. There is a washing machine and ironing board in the adjoining utility room.

The house sleeps up to 8 people in three double bedroom and a smaller bedroom with twin beds. All the bedrooms and charmingly furnished and are both light and airy. One of the double bedrooms has an ensuite shower room and there is a separate large family bathroom with bath and shower. There is a separate WC in the entrance hall. One of the bedrooms also has a large private terrace overlooking the quiet rear garden. There is a sofa bed in the office offering additional sleeping accommodation if required and a cot and high chair are also available.

The house is south facing with a large enclosed courtyard ideal for outdoor dining and shaded by a pretty tree. The large garden to the side of the house has plenty of relaxing space with large lawns, trees and and a grove of olive trees. The round swimming pool has lovely views and is secured by a fence for child safety. Sun loungers are provided. There are pretty countryside views from the garden right over to the Luberon hills beyond. A bbq is available.

There is private parking for the property. Bed linen and towels, including pool towels are provided and also a cleaner for the end of your stay. For stays of two weeks or longer a mid stay clean is also provided.

L'Ousteau de Bounur is a very comfortable spacious provencal home in a tranquil countryide location with good outdoor living space and a lovely pool for a relaxing holiday, but also very well located for exploring the Luberon area and further afield



Booking Conditions

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. A returnable damages deposit of £850 is also payable at time of final payment. This is refunded after your departure once the house has been checked. All telephone charges, breakage's, etc. will be made against the deposit and the balance returned to you. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. In order to have time to check the house, change beds, clean the pool and tidy the garden etc. we ask guests to arrive between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and to leave at 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
