The rent includes all services except the cost of telephone calls during your stay. A cleaning lady is provided for the end of your stay. For stays of longer than one week, a mid stay clean and linen change is included. It may be possible to arrange additional cleaning if required for an extra charge.

Villa Calavon is a comfortable spacious stone built house located at the western end of the Luberon valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty in southern Provence. The house is near the charming medieval village of Cabrière d’Avignon and a short drive from the stunning perched village of Gordes.
Cabrieres has an excellent boulangerie, grocery shop, butcher and good local restaurant. There is a popular weekly market in nearby Coustellet and a wide choice of excellent local vineyards producing good Cotes du Luberon and Cotes du Ventoux wines. Well placed for exploring the Luberon valley and its delightful perched villages, this house is also very well located for excursions further afield to Avignon, Orange, St. Remy and Arles.
This spacious single storey house is in a quiet location in the countryside with a lovely view of the Luberon mountains. The house was totally remodelled in 2013 and is stylishly decorated throughout with lovely stone floors and floor to ceiling windows letting in lots of light. The large well equipped kitchen has all the modern amenities and a big island unit where the chef for the night can work away and serve meals while surrounded by family and friends. The kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer and wine fridge.
There are two sitting rooms in the house each with their own TV. The main sitting room opens out directly onto the garden terrace and pool. It is very comfortably furnished with sofas for relaxed living and the large dining table easily accommodates 10 people for convivial dining. The hallway sitting room with its leather club settee and chair has a cosy wood burning stove.
There are five bedrooms. All of the bedrooms look out onto the lawns, garden or pool. The master bedroom has a double bed and en suite bathroom with bath and hand held shower. There are two further double bedrooms both of which open out directly onto the garden. One has an en suite shower room and the second has an ensuite bathroom with shower. There is a separate double bedroom with a bed upstairs on a mezzanine. This bedroom has the use of the family shower room with toilet. The children’s bedroom is equipped with bunk beds and also has an ensuite shower room. All of the bathrooms are beautifully finished with modern style provencal tiles.
There are two televisions with satellite reception for English channels and French channels and a DVD player. There is a broadband wifi internet connection for guests use also.
The house has a private sheltered south facing garden with lawns and flower beds and an overflow swimming pool (8x4metres). There is plenty of relaxing dining space by the pool under the shade of the pergola or further down the garden next to the BBQ area on the long refectory table. The pool has an in-water security alarm system. The garden, terraces and pool have sun all day and have lovely views across the to the Luberon mountains. The BBQ is a built in charcoal BBQ and there are plenty of sunbeds provided for those lazy days relaxing at home.
Bed linen and towels are provided including pool towels and also a cleaner for the end of your stay. For stays of two weeks or more, a mid stay clean and linen change is included. There is private parking within the grounds of the house.
Villa Calavon is a comfortable provencal home in a quiet countryside location with good indoor and outdoor living space and a lovely pool for a relaxing holiday for family or a group of friends and is also very well located for exploring the beautiful Luberon area and further afield.
We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. A damages deposit of £500 is payable at time of final payment. This is refunded after your departure once the house has been checked. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive after 16.00 p.m. and to leave by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.
In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
