L’Estellan is situated in a delightful tranquil location in the Luberon hills above the lovely old village of Bonnieux in the heart of the Parc Naturel du Luberon. With stunning views right across the countryside, the house is a perfect place for relaxing and enjoying the scenery or as a base for exploring further afield. Nearby Bonnieux has good local shops and restaurants and the town of Apt is just a short drive away with bigger supermarkets and shops. The house is ideally located for exploring this lovely area of southern Provence with its pretty perched villages and beautiful countryside.

The House

L’Estellan is a welcoming comfortable stone built house in a large enclosed and gated garden and has its own private swimming pool. Looking out over the beautiful countryside, the house has superb views both from the inside and from the large garden terraces.

The terracotta tiled floors give the house a warm ambience and the house is well furnished throughout. There is a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge freezer, electric induction hob, electric oven and microwave. There is a washing machine located separately. The kitchen door leads out onto the large terrace at the front of the house with its shady pergola and dining table. The open plan living room with its provencal fireplace has an open wood burning fire and there are electric radiators for cooler evenings. The dining area on the mezzanine has a lovely old wooden table and comfortable chairs seating six people.

There are three double bedrooms, each with a double bed which can be separated to make twin beds if preferred. There is a shower room with toilet and an additional separate toilet. One of the bedrooms is accessed from outside the house and this bedroom has its own en suite shower room. The owners provide very good quality bed linen and towels, together with pool towels are also provided for your stay. For stays of more than one week, a change of bed linen is provided.

There are lovely outdoor terraces all around the front and side of the house, all with superb wide open views across the hills, even as far as Mont St. Victoire near Aix. The sun rises across the side terrace by the kitchen and moves across the front of the house during the day. The constantly changing light makes for never ending changes of view. The large 10x5 m swimming pool is to the side of the house and has its own pretty covered seating area, perfect for relaxing in the heat of the afternoon. Sun loungers are provided as well as tables and chairs for outdoor dining. The pool is secured by a pool cover.

The garden is mainly grass and wooded areas with terraces leading down into the valley below the house. Perfect for an early morning stroll along the grassy paths.

The house has a television and DVD player for entertainment and an electric Weber BBQ. Linen and towels are included together with a cleaning service on two days per week and on departure. The house has direct dial telephone and broadband internet access with wifi.

Please note the owners of this property do not accept animals to stay.

Booking Conditions

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. We also require a deposit against damages of £500 payable at the same time as your balance payment. If your booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking.

Any breakages or damage will be made against the deposit, together with the cost of telephone calls made during your stay, and the balance returned to you. Bookings are from Friday to Friday. In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive between after 16.00 p.m. and to leave before 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
