The house is situated in the countryside within walking distance of the charming old village of Eygalières in the heart of the Alpilles. The village has everything for your everyday needs including very good restaurants and café bars. The lovely old market town of St. Rémy is just a short drive away. The house is ideally located for exploring this lovely area of southern Provence with its pine clad hills, olive groves, pretty villages and historic towns.

The House

La Maison de François is a pretty single storey provencal house in a peaceful location in the countryside just 20 minutes walk into the village. The house is very prettily furnished in modern provencal style. There is a well equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven & hob, dishwasher and separate washing machine. The large and airy living/dining room has a comfortable seating area and an open fireplace and this room, together with the master bedroom, opens out on to the mature south facing garden at the rear of the house. The house has a CD Hifi, DVD and television (French channels only) for entertainment.

There are three bedrooms, one double en suite with shower with doors opening on to the garden, one twin with a window overlooking the garden and one room with bunk beds suitable for one adult. There is a separate bathroom with in-bath shower and a separate additional toilet.

The secluded rear garden slopes gently up the hillside and is planted with mature shrubs. There are plenty of seating areas and space on the terrace for outdoor dining. There is a large 10x 5 m swimming pool. The pool is alarmed for security and there are loungers for sunbathing. There is a bbq.

Bed linen and towels are provided together with a cleaning service at the end of your stay. For stays of longer than one week a mid-stay clean and linen change is also included. Dogs are welcome to stay for a small additional charge.

Booking Conditions

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. A returnable damages deposit of £600 is also payable at time of final payment. This is refunded after your departure once the house has been checked. All telephone charges, breakage's, etc. will be made against the deposit and the balance returned to you. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive between after 16.00 p.m. and to leave before 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure..

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from price comparison sites, airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
