Maison Vignes is a delightful village house with its own pool, located in the heart of the picturesque village of Roussillon, 'un des plus beaux villages de France'. Roussillon is situated in the centre of the Luberon valley and is famous for its red ochre cliffs, artist and pottery shops. The village has an excellent boulangerie, several shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a good market in the village every Thursday morning and a wide choice of excellent local vineyards producing good Cotes du Luberon and Cotes du Ventoux wines.

The house is well located for simply enjoying provencal life in this exceptionally pretty village but also as a base for exploring the Luberon valley and further afield. The attractions of Avignon, Aix, St. Remy, Nimes, Orange and Arles are all within easy driving distance as are the vineyards of the Cotes du Rhone and Chateauneuf.

The House

This comfortable house is right in the centre of the village but is beautifully quiet and a lovely home from home. The house is tastefully decorated throughout in a style which perfectly suits this charming old property, and has lots of living space. The large and airy salon has a superb provencal fireplace and comfortable sofas providing a perfect room for relaxing. There is a CD hifi and a selection of board games for entertainment. The house has a wifi broadband internet connection.

The large kitchen with its pretty dining area comfortably seats 8 people and the kitchen is well equipped with gas hob and electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Upstairs, there are three well furnished bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and a large master bedroom overlooking the pool and with an en-suite bathroom - with a superb view across to the Luberon mountains. There is a separate shower room and toilet.

The house has a private sheltered pretty garden with two dining terraces on the ground floor, one outside the salon, one outside the kitchen and an upper terrace with its superb views of the ochre cliffs and the Luberon mountains. Perfect for breakfast and lunch or a pre-dinner aperitif. The 4 x 3.5m pool is heated and is open during the months of May to October and looks particularly pretty when illuminated at night. Loungers are provided.

Bed linen, towels and pool towels are provided and also a cleaner for the end of your stay.

Booking Conditions

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking.

A damages deposit of £350 is payable at the same time as the final holiday payment. This is refunded after your departure once the house has been checked. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday.  In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive after 16:00 p.m. and to leave by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from price comparison sites, airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
