Moulinsard is a spacious provencal villa with a pretty garden and private pool located in the quiet village of Les Taillades at the western end of the Luberon Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty in southern Provence.

The house is in a tranquil location right in the village with its lovely old mill and water wheel, and just a short drive from the town of Cavaillon. Les Taillades has a boulangerie, small supermarket, newsagent and restaurant. Well placed for exploring the Luberon valley and its delightful perched villages, this house is also very well located for excursions further afield to Avignon, Orange, St. Remy and Arles.

The House

Moulinsard is a single storey villa with light and sunny rooms. Recently updated and newly decorated in contemporary provencal style, the house also has lots of good outdoor living space in the enclosed garden.

The house has three bedrooms comfortably sleeping up to 6 people. There is an open plan living room/dining room with doors opening directly onto the outdoor terrace overlooking the garden. There are comfortable sofas for relaxing in the living room and the dining area has a large dining table for convivial meals and a welcoming provencal log burning fireplace. The house has electric heaters for the cooler months. A television and DVD player is provided for entertainment. The television has satellite reception with some English channels. The house also has a wifi internet connection.

The kitchen opens out onto the outdoor terrace overlooking the pool. Well equipped, the kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge freezer, electric oven and hob and microwave. There is a washing machine and ironing board in the adjoining utility room.

The house sleeps up to 6 people in three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a standard 140 double bed and en suite shower. There are two further bedrooms, both overlooking the garden, a bedroom with two single beds and a third bedroom with a standard 140 double bed There is a separate shower room and WC. There is an additional WC in the entrance hall.

The house is south-west facing with a large terrace overlooking the garden and pool. There are two separate outdoor dining areas, a large dining table by the kitchen with gas bbq and a breakfast table in front of the living room. The west and south facing pool which is fenced for security, is 9x4m, has plenty of sunbathing space, sun loungers and a parasol for shade. The garden to one side overlooks a small wood of truffle oaks which gives a very peaceful ambience to the property.

There is private parking. Bed linen and towels are provided, including pool towels, and also a cleaner for the end of your stay.

Moulinsard is a comfortable provencal home in a quiet village location with good outdoor living space and a lovely pool for a relaxing holiday, but also very well located for exploring the Luberon area and further afield.

Rental Cost

The rent includes all services except heating for the months of October to April inclusive and the cost of telephone calls during your stay. A cleaning lady is provided for the end of your stay. Additional cleaning can be arranged if required for an extra charge.

Booking Conditions

We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. A returnable damages deposit of £500 is also payable at time of final payment. This is refunded after your departure once the house has been checked. All telephone charges, breakage's, etc. will be made against the deposit and the balance returned to you. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive after 16.00 p.m. and to leave by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.

In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
